Farrago Brews

A website for a craft beer brewery that experiments with exotic beer flavors.

Description

Farrago Brews is a mocked-up website for a micro-brewery business which revolves around customer suggested seasonal beer flavors. This project was an exploration of Branding, Mobile Adaptability, and Product Purchasing Flows.

Role

In teams of two, I took a role in branding, visual styling, wireframing, and html/css programming.

Research

Given a micro-brewery business, we developed a brand that would be open to its community and attempt to encourage involvement from customers. To create this sense of community contribution to the business, we developed a brand that focused on creating innovative flavors. Because the business was a micro-brewery, and would likely have smaller, seasonal batches of brew, it only made sense to take advantage of the flexible business model. By doing this, it opened the door to allow a community to contribute to the flexible nature of the product.

Process

We progressed through several iterations of wireframes and interactions for the desktop version, and once that had been accomplished, were then challenged to make the site mobile friendly. Grid structures were used to stack the majority of content in a vertical format while minor alignment adjustments were made as necessary.
